Washani Tibetan Mastiffs is owned by Steve and Becky Hyatt. We
live on a small farm in southwestern Wisconsin with our family.
Our family consists of Becky’s mother, our beautiful Tibetan
Mastiffs, two Border Collies, three horses, and three barn cats.

We also raise day range chickens and ducks, free range geese,
and pasture fed goats.
The dogs eat a combination raw and kibble diet. We feed them chickens,
ducks and eggs produced right on the farm. We also feed them pasture
fed beef from a neighbor, the same food that the rest of the family
eats. To supplement their diet, we free feed Canidae kibble which
is made from human grade ingredients.
We have several principles that we try to follow on our farm.
Avoid chemicals Whenever Possible
We don't use any chemicals on our lawn, garden or spray any on
fruits. The dogs, however, are given heartworm preventative every
45 days during the warm months. We also use Frontline Plus as a
flea and tick preventative in warm months.
Return to the earth what you take
We compost manure, cardboard and paper. We capture and use rainwater
runoff and plan to have a wind turbine for electricity generation
in the future.
Treat all animals in a humane and responsible manner (including
humans)
Provide shelter, nutrition, medical care and emotional support
for all who live on the farm.
Dogs really are our best friends. They are great listeners and
will kiss away your tears. They will teach you to always live with
joy and sometimes to howl at the moon.
